Since emerging from the depths of the Shanghai underground in 2006, Shanghainese rock/metal four-piece, The Mushrooms, have sewn the seeds of chaos in Shanghai’s bars, livehouses and campuses. Their live performances are something to behold, with a hardcore attitude combined with melodic riffs. Their insane gigs, numbering up to 100 per year, have reinvigorated the moshpits of Shanghai, and made The Mushrooms the posterboys for the new generation of Shanghai rock.
